Kade De Angioletti

NY-Based Actor | Pianist | Comic

ABOUT

Kade De Angioletti (he/him) is a Brooklyn-based actor, pianist, and comic originally from Leesburg, Virginia. He is a recent graduate of Rockford University in northern Illinois, where he studied Musical Theater (B.F.A.) and Music (B.A.)—with a concentration in collaborative piano. He is an out and proud trans man who is interested in telling stories featuring authentic transmasculine characters and creative teams. He is a part of the LGBT+ community and feels that the labels of Queer, Trans, Transmasculine, and Trans Man best represent him.

His theater career began at age 7 when he quietly performed “Jingle Bells” to a roomful of retirees to secure a role in the ensemble of a rural, community production of Oklahoma! He comes from a family of New Yorkers who are avid-theater-patrons, so he was privileged to grow up seeing local and touring shows. He knew that he wanted to be a performer after seeing the National Tour of Mary Poppins (starring Laura Michelle Kelly) at the Kennedy Center in 2010. The dollhouse sets that opened autonomously were pure magic and the clever choreography of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” enchanted him. He memorized the precocious lyrics of the wickedly fast song within a day of seeing the tour by looping the cast CD on his CD-player in his room.

Kade has a rich tenor voice that best fits timeless crooner songs (think Frank Sinatra or Bing Crosby). Because of his youthful appearance, short stature, and energetic nature, Kade is best suited for male roles 18+ “To Play Young” (TPY). He is believable as a teenage boy and likes to think of himself as "the Ralph Macchio of this generation (who no one knows)”. Macchio famously played the 17-year-old karate kid, Daniel LaRusso, at age 22. Kade also possesses a youthful face like the 80s celebrity as well as Italian ancestry from Naples.
